Although the caravan park is set within a peaceful tranquil village, if you are keen to explore a livelier atmosphere, Welshpool and Oswestry are within 8 miles reach, and Shrewsbury is within 15 miles, The nearby market towns offer a range of attractions for all the family, with Shrewsbury recently appearing in The Times top 30 places in the UK to live. 

 

Both Welshpool and Oswestry offer weekly markets, as well as being home to a range of independent retailers. Both towns have light railways for train enthusiasts to enjoy, as well as parks and children's play areas.  Whilst Shrewsbury is a larger town, home to a magnificent castle which is elevated over the town, overlooking some 600 beautiful listed buildings.  Shrewsbury has a theatre, cinema, bowling alley plus multiple restaurants catering for a vast variety of cuisines.

 

The beautiful countryside is home to some of the country's most well loved walks and lakes.  From strolls along Offa's Dyke to brisk walks up Breidden Hill to Rodney's Pillar, there really is an adventure waiting for all.  For breath taking views, Lake Vyrnwy and its waterfalls are nearby, and for the more adventurous, Bala Lake offers a variety of water sports. 

 

Within the counties of Shropshire and Powys, are a number of beautiful golf courses.  In the nearby village, is Llanymynech Golf Course, with its well-kept greens and views over the county, this golf course is the only dual country golf course in Europe, where you can drive in Wales and putt in England.  This was the course at which Ian Woosnam first took a swing at the age of 9.   The golf course offers ‘The Three Parks’ membership, which offers a discounted 7 month fee. 

 

There are a number of tourist attractions nearby, including both Powis Castle and Chirk Castle, as well as a number of annual festivals, including Ludlow Food Festival and Llangollen Fringe Festival.
